The VRC is the hub of research activity within the Faculty of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. Research at doctoral and post-doctoral level is regarded as central to the development of the Faculty and University providing a solid foundation for its academic, research and educational strategies.
The Faculty is able to provide access to the tools and to a suitable creative and innovative environment in order to enable researchers to engage with cultural, artistic and creative issues as well as participate in the contemporary languages of the disciplines, underpinned by an inclusive and exciting research culture and environment.
The breadth of research undertaken is remarkable and enabled through close connection between all the Faculties within the University and at other institutions allowing for collaboration and truly interdisciplinary research, with Visual Thinking at its heart. |
